SBA 8(A) Program
Since 2008, Kros-Wise, Inc. has been a highly successful participant of the SBA 8(a) program and is fully certified by the SBA.
Participants can receive sole-source contracts, up to a ceiling of $4 million for goods and services and $6.5 million for manufacturing. The program helps 8(a) firms build their competitive and institutional know-how, while also encouraging participation in competitive acquisitions.
8(a) firms are also able to form joint ventures and teams to bid on contracts. This enhances the ability of 8(a) firms to perform larger prime contracts and overcome the effects of contract bundling, the combining of two or more contracts together into one large contract. Also, the Mentor-Protégé Program allows 8(a) companies to learn the ropes from other more experienced businesses.

Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program
Kros-Wise, Inc. is an Economically Disadvantaged women owned small business (EDWOSB).
The WOSB Federal Contract Program was implemented in February 2011 with the goal of expanding the number of industries where WOSB were able to compete for business with the federal government. This program enables Economically Disadvantaged WOSBs (EDWOSBs) to compete for federal contracts that are set-aside for EDWOSBs in industries where women-owned small businesses are underrepresented.
It also allows set-asides for WOSBs in industries where women-owned small businesses are substantially underrepresented. SBA has designated two sets of industries according to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).
